A Healthy Life

A healthy life will leads to a good life.

But how to have a healthy life? Why is it so hard? Because it involves discipline and sacrifices. Maybe... in jinx's context, lots of 'against'.

C'mon, what are you not 'against' of?

Then what are you 'for'?

A life without 'against' seems to be a sorry life to me.

Some of them are 'against hypocrisy', 'against unjust', 'against tyrany'.... blah blah blah..

Anyway, back to my healthy life. I want to stress it's my healthy life, not yours, as you may have a different kind of healthy life compared to me.

That's life.

1. Exercise
a) Have to run at least once a week. That is to allow your body to 'sweat it out'. Don't focus on the distance. Make sure you sweat it out.

b) Have to play some ball games during the week. Basketball, soccer, tennis, badminton, table-tennis, squash. That is to train your reflexes and improve on your focus.

c) If you are a busy dude, can substitute a) or b) with other exercises, like swimming, gym, or other 'sweating' sports. Not sitting in front of the computer playing 'Winning Eleven'.

2. Diet
a) Don't go for too much supper. Once or twice a week should be the max. If really want to go, at least try to push it to 11 pm or so.. not after 12. A bit weird.

b) Balance diet. Need me to teach you?

c) Drink sufficient water.

I know Singapore got a lot of good food. But don't gourge yourself lah... control!

3. Mental
a) Read. Magazines, newspaper, good books. Read to exercise your brain. (No... I'm not refering to those bulk of lecture notes and textbooks.)

b) Aha! How can we miss sports games? If you are a basketball fan, there is NBA! If you are a soccer fan, there is EPL! Should not miss the exciting performances of your supporting clubs.

c) Listen to your fav music.

d) Talk more. Communication. Good communication is good tonic to your life. Not that MSN. Talking in MSN is like talking to a wall. You never know whether the other one is listening or not. Is he/she there in the first place? Start talking to your parents, sibling, friends, friends that you don't have much contact with (That's difficult I must admit). Come out to a place to have a good talk and laugh.

Ok dudes, that's my 3 aspects of a healthy life.

Wah! So many restrictions ah? Yeee... I don't like.

As I said, that's MY healthy life.
