Once upon a time in Jerusalem, the kingdom was ruled by King Baldwin IV. He was a..... leper!
The mysterious leper king in Kingdom of Heaven.
And the knight that defended against Saladin was none other than Balian of Ibelin. Although he surrendered to Saladin after 13 days, there was no massacre. Saladin was merciful enough to release everybody.
However, the interesting part is, did Queen Sibylla had a little 'thingy' with Balian? When she chose Guy (the loser King) to be the ruler, it is stated that Raymond (Balian's ally) and his faction (assumed Balian and company) had been hopelessly outmanoeuvred. The country was at the edge of civil war.
The beautiful Queen Sibylla. But is she as good as the movie potrayed her?
