Chapter 2 : The Death of Rosemary

Daniel hid among the shadows and watched the happenings with concern. He saw medics carrying out a body of a lady from the apartment. It was Rosemary. Daniel stealthly walked towards the crowd who had already gathered outside the apartment, and some were discussing what actually happened.

"Heard from the police that she had died from a heart attack." Another said,:"No, no.... I actually heard a scream coming out from her apartment. Most be something bad had happened...."

Heart attack? Daniel pondered. It looked like one, but Daniel knew what actually happen. The soul ripper was here before. And it had claimed Rosemary's life. There were indication of the presence of the soul ripper around the neighbourhood.

"So sad, Rosemary is the best neighbour that I had. She is such a wonderful person..." a lady beside Daniel sobbed. Suddenly Daniel felt afraid. He was caught off guard by the Dark Side. He had actually came to warn Rosemary of the impending disaster, but the soul ripper got her first. Fist clenched, Daniel tried to think of the next step that he should do. What's next? Daniel was clueless. He needed help. And that idiot friend of his had still not arrived yet. Now he was alone battling it out.

Daniel sensed that he was being watched. Worried about the danger lurking at the surrounding, Daniel quickly left.
